Argentine international winger Matias Vargas has expressed his desire about a Premier League move to North London giants Arsenal.
The 21-year-old spoke about his affinity for the Gunners while he was a guest on a local TV show in Argentina.
He further stated that his love for the former FA Cup winners was fuelled by his father.
Matias Vargas also pointed out that national team colleague and Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has told him about the beautiful atmosphere at the club.
The Velez Sarsfield FC of Argentina star recently made his debut for the national team in September under interim manager Lionel Scaloni.
He was the 4th substitute for Cristian Pavon during the 3-0 international friendly win over Guatemala.
Gonzalo Martinez (penalty), Giovani Lo Celso and Giovanni Simeone were on target for the two-time world champions.
A transfer to Arsenal would be a good career move for Matias Vargas as he would provide quality for the Gunners in a department where the team lacks traditional options.
There’s a lack of wingers at Arsenal and a move for Matias Vargas would go a long way to change that.
Without wingers, Arsenal have recovered well from two successive defeats at the start of the new Premier League season to win the last five league games.
