North London giants Arsenal are set to face Belgian defender Christian Kabasele after his red card was overturned on Friday morning.

Kabasele, 27, was sent off during his side’s Carabao Cup third round exit to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

He was sent for a tackle on Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli in the box and the England international picked up himself to convert the penalty on 81 minutes.

His goal levelled proceedings for the hosts who had earlier trailed to an early goal in the second half courtesy Super Eagles forward Isaac Success.

Argentine international Erik Lamela helped Spurs take the lead for the first time five minutes after Alli’s goal only for 10-man Watford to equalise just before full-time and force penalties.

Tottenham went on to win the penalty shootout 4-2 and secure a spot in the fourth round.

The North London giants will know their fourth-round opponents when the draw takes place on Saturday.

Kabasele’s dismissal would have meant that he will miss the London Derby Premier League clash at Arsenal on Saturday evening but his red card has now been rescinded.

The one-cap Belgian international has been a regular fixture for an impressive Watford side this season having started all of their six league games.

The Hornets presently occupy the fourth spot with 13 points from six matches and will be hoping to continue their fantastic start to the season against the Gunners.
