Arsenal manager Unai Emery has denied widespread reports claiming that he blocked Germany coach Joachim Low from seeing Mesut Ozil at the club’s training ground earlier this week.
Reports which originated from Germany stated that the 2014 FIFA World Cup winning manager was denied access to Ozil when he visited the Arsenal training ground.
Another set of reports also revealed that Low was at the London Colney training ground of Arsenal to see new Academy manager Per Mertesacker and that Mesut Ozil was absent at the training ground.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery spoke about the matter in an interview with Sky Sports as he added that such situation didn’t happen at all.
Joachim Low is currently in the midst of a feud involving Mesut Ozil and German Football Federation (DFB) officials though the German tactician has indicated his willingness to put an end to the fight by convincing the playmaker to rescind his decision to retire from the national team.
The former Real Madrid and Werder Bremen had earlier taken the decision after he came under severe criticisms from German pundits and football officials in the aftermath of the country’s group stage exit at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
