Arsenal have to reportedly overcome the challenge of Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan in their pursuit of Senegal international winger Ismaila Sarr.
Sarr, 20, has enjoyed series of impressive performances for his French side Rennes and that has not gone unnoticed to Arsenal, Inter Milan and other European giants.
According to the report from popular English news outlet Daily Mirror, Inter Milan and other clubs are keen on the highly rated winger but Arsenal remain favourites for his signature ahead of the next transfer window in January.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to bolster his squad during the January transfer window in a bid to boost the Gunners’ quest for top four at the end of this season and Ismaila Sarr represents a fantastic option for the former Sevilla and Valencia boss.
He is presently valued at £20m by Rennes who are reluctant to part ways with their prized asset in the middle of the season.
Ismaila Sarr is an important part of the French club’s squad and has scored two goals and provided one assist in eight games in all competitions since the start of this season.
He was part of the Senegal team to this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
