The assistant coach of Chelsea Gianfranco Zola was plain in his words when interviewed and asked a question about how Victor Moses fairs lately.
Zola notably replied and was poised that the Nigerian winger fell under Maurizio Sarri’s pecking order since the emergence of the England U17 World Cup winner Callum Hudson-Odoi who impressed in the preseason, a period Victor Moses was obeying his clarion call for the Super Eagles in Russia.
While Moses resigned from the National team football in other to focus more on his club career, Hudson-Odoi had already won Sarri’s heart after his showpiece of skilful display.
While both players were fit against Man City, Zola told the interviewers why Moses was not included amongst the substitute.
”when we played the Community Shield, he was in ahead of players like Victor Moses. If he hasn’t got the consideration of the value, we wouldn’t have done that. He is the future.” He said
Moses has struggled to be on the bench in spite of his industrious works in training with the aim of enticing Sarri in his rapid development under his football tactics.
While Liverpool will welcome the Blues in the Carabao cup on Wednesday, Sarri would decide if the Nigerian will best fit the wing or face the young talent who already pleased him in the preseason.
