With Mourinho’s reported dressing room outburst with the 25-year-old, it is more likely the Frenchman could return back ‘home’ in January.
Another transfer that could occur in January is Frenkie De Jong’s move to Old Trafford.
The Ajax youngster is being tracked by Barcelona and Manchester United but none of them have made any official move for his signature.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Eredivisie side have increased the player’s price tag to £72m but that won’t stop Mourinho from making official bid for the player.
The youngster has seen his fame risen across every European league as result of his blistering goalscoring prowess throughout last season.
Meanwhile, United are also said to be monitoring the development of Benfica’s young goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos.
The German youth international is attracting top clubs in Europe as Chelsea, Arsenal, United, and Liverpool have reportedly sent their scouts to keep close eye on his development.
Vlachodimos is definitely one for the future and a capable replacement for David De Gea, should he eventually join the Old Trafford outfits soon.
