Manchester United manager José Mourinho is becoming impatient with Alexis Sanchez’s loss of form and he could be forced to sell him in the next transfer window, that’s according to former Arsenal player Ian Wright.
The Chilean star is the highest earner but he hasn’t justified his price tag neither has he shown that he deserves to be paid such a huge salary.
Since his switch to the Theater of Dreams last season, Sanchez has found the back of the net in just three occasions.
According to Ian Wright, the former Arsenal forward shouldn’t be starting ahead of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, who are both eager to prove a point to the Portuguese manager.
The Gunners legend claimed that the Red Devils might be forced to cash in on his services in January, should he fail to return to his goalscoring form.
While speaking to Sky Sports’ Monday Night Sport, Ian wants Sanchez to prove his worth to the world by scoring goals and assisting many goals before the end of the season.
Meanwhile, former Blackburn and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton believes Sanchez currently lacks confidence.
“Alexis Sanchez is lost and bereft of confidence,” Sutton said
According to him, the Chilean star plays as if he carries the whole burden of the club and that has prevented him from enjoying a great performance in all the games he’s played so far this campaign.
“It looks like he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders,” he concluded.
