Manchester United had a great game against Swiss Champions Young Boys last night as they thrashed their opponents 3-0. The players were all awesome throughout the encounter but one player was exceptional and that’s Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman was lively for the Red Devils as he seamlessly passes through the Young Boys’ defense to score the first goal of the night.
He also converted the second goal of the night from the spot before assisting his countryman Anthony Martial for the third goal of the game.
Pogba’s display during the encounter got the attention of former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, who works as a pundit with BT SPORT.
Ferdinand praised the player for his trademark passes and his perfect eye for goal.
He also praised him for the way he found his way past four defenders before slotting a left-footed shot to the bottom corner to give the Red Devils their much-deserved lead.
According to him, Pogba is an ideal playmaker who can cause havoc to any defenders whenever he’s in great form.
He admits the 25-year-old has got huge talents coming out of his pores but his teammates need to get the best out of him during matches.
“He played forward and followed his pass. This boy has got talent coming out of every pore.” said the BT Sports pundit
United are on top of their group with three points, closely followed by Juventus, who are equally on three points after defeating Valencia by a two-goal margin.
Valencia and Young Boys currently occupy the third and fourth position respectively having lost their first game of the competition to the two European powerhouses.

The player has impressed for FC Porto in both the Champions League and the Portuguese Super League.

He became a full Brazilian international earlier in the season when Selecao manager Tite gave him his debut in the thumping win over El Salvador.
Sarri still under attack for criticizing Danny Mills
The bashing for Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is yet to be over after he went out to the press to slam his players after their 2-0 defeat against their London rivals Arsenal.
The West London side suffered defeat in their visit to the Emirates Stadium which leaves manager Maurizio Sarri frustrated knowing that their top four finish for a Champions League qualification is now being threatened.
The points between both sides have now been limited to three points from the previous six which forced the Italian boss to accuse his players of being difficult to motivate.
The Blues boss has since been criticized for coming after his players after the loss but a latest reaction by Danny Mills in his reaction said the words by the former Napoli was a last resort and a desperate act.
He stated that efforts have been put in place especially in training by the manager which he expects to see from the players to showcase on the field of play but they failed to.
However, Danny Mills stated that Sarri will have to learn more about his players, noting that not everyone will be able to play under pressure or give the extra stretch to deliver good performances.
Chelsea to announce deal for star player in coming days
It has been reported that English Premier League outfit Chelsea will in coming days announce the move of star player Michy Batshauyi to French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.
The report claims that talks have already been finalized and a loan move is set to be finalized with paper works before the end of this January winter transfer window.
French television Channel RMC Sport reports that the Belgium international winger is set to join the French Ligue 1 outfit for a six-month loan before returning back to the Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
It would be recalled that Michy Batshauyi spent the beginning of the season on loan with Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia but failed to impress which forced his parent club to recall him back with a bid to have him move another direction.
Michy Batshauyi’s loan spell has actually not gone as planned as he only secured 4 league starts where he scored a goal but there are suggestions that he could have a new start when he joins the French side.
On the other hand, Monaco are keen to add more additions to the team as they have also struggled to win games, especially in the first half of the season.
Liverpool preparing for life without £120-a-week star
English Premier League side Liverpool are already preparing to lose centre forward Daniel Sturridge before the end of this winter transfer window.
Daniel Sturridge is unsatisfied with the situation at the Merseyside club which makes him seek a move away from the club so as to secure more playing time, having gone down the pecking order in the manager Jurgen Klopp’s team.
So far this season, Daniel Sturridge has had it all on the bench and he is now ready to listen to offers with Turkish topflight outfit Besiktas and some MLS teams reported to be ready to give him a way out.
Daniel Sturridge was a major part of the Liverpool team when he first joined in 2013 from West London outfit Chelsea but the situation changed for him with the coming of Brazilian international Roberto Firmino.
However, the Reds are willing to let him leave as it has become obvious that he is not in the plans of the team anymore.
His past records can speak for him and that is what has attracted clubs who are seeking for his signature.
There is no doubt that the England international striker will jump at any offer available for him so he can continue his progress elsewhere.
Ligue 1 captain speaks on expected departure of Liverpool target
French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain Captain Thiago Silva has made it clear that Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
He, therefore, affirmed that the decision by the Frenchman is never a mistake having made his decision to leave because he would surely be a star anywhere he is.
Adrien Rabiot is reportedly in a difficult situation at the French Ligue 1 outfit having fallen out with the manager, a situation that has made him insist on leaving the club when his contract runs down at the end of the season.
A lot of efforts have been made by the Ligue 1 outfit to convince the player but his mind is already made up.
PSG captain stated that Adrien Rabiot would be missed because of the quality he has always added to the team. He, therefore, stated that the club must do all possible t bring in a player of such quality to the team as a replacement for the French star.
However, the English Premier League giants are believed to be in the pole position to secure the signature of the star man as they hope to have him as a replacement for James Milner who is favoured to leave the club any moment from now.
Juventus close to sealing a move for £25m-rated want-away Chelsea star
Emerging reports indicate that Italian Serie A outfit Juventus are close to sealing a move for Chelsea left full-back Emerson Palmieri in this winter transfer window.
The Italian champions are reported to be eager and they are believed to be preparing a bid for Emerson Palmieri in order to beat the competition from their Serie A rivals Inter Milan who are also keen to add him to their team.
Emerson Palmieri is believed to be a good fit for the Italian Serie A team as he started his career in his Italian country home before having a move to the English Premier League.
Emerson Palmieri who joined Rhea West London side from Serie A outfit AS Roma for a fee of £18 million will not be allowed to leave for anything less which means that Juventus will have to pay more than what was invested in the player.
Despite not having a regular playing time at the Stamford Bridge, Emerson Palmieri is known to be a great player who has big potentials and would be able to play at the big stage.
However, the West London side have already made the glaring decision with Emerson Palmieri as he has been unused by manager Maurizio Sarri.
Arsenal Finally Ready To Sanction Bid For 23-year-old Forward
Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid winger Gelson Martins in this January transfer window.
This is according to the publication from Portuguese news outlet O Jogo via Sky Sports.
It was revealed that the Gunners are monitoring his situation at the new Wanda Metropolitano.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for the 23-year-old during last summer’s transfer window when the player was still on the books of Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon.
He joined Atletico Madrid last summer but he has not been able to make any meaningful impact at the club.
Gelson Martins has started just one league game for Atletico Madrid since the start of the season with seven more appearances coming from the substitute bench.
Arsenal might need to fend off the interest of French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco who are also keen on the Portuguese international player.
Ex-Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is the current Monaco manager and he’s said to be interested in Gelson Martins in his quest to lead his team away from the relegation zone.
The Arsenal legend is under pressure to perform at Monaco and he has already strengthened his team with the signing of ex-Gunners teammate Cesc Fabregas.
No regrets over transfer decision with Camacho, Jurgen Klopp reveals
English premier League leaders Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has stated that he does not regret snubbing calls for him to secure a new right full-back especially with his long injury list.
The German boss noted that he is happy to have backed Rafa Camacho to remain at the club to have his chances to make a name for himself as well as help the team.
In addition to the long injury list, Jurgen Klopp made a decision to let Nathaniel Clyne leave the club on a loan move to Bournemouth despite being the only available player in the right full-back position but that has been resolved with Rafa Camacho.
Jurgen Klopp stated that he was in a difficult position before making the decision to keep Rafa Camacho for the role as he imagined the reaction of the people.
The Reds boss made it clear that there were a number of options before Nathaniel Clyne left the club but the situation changed as soon as he was away which leaves him with no choice than to play Rafa Camacho.
Klopp hailed Rafa Camacho as a fantastic player who has got big abilities that one can hardly come by, especially in a player within his ranks.
Rangers join race for £15m-rated Liverpool player
Rangers are reported to have joined the list of those interested in the signature of English Premier League outfit Liverpool player Adam Lallana as they hope to snap him up in this winter transfer window.
Adam Lallana has been linked with a move away from the Anfield over the past few weeks owing to the lack of playing time under manager Jurgen Klopp.
While a decision has not been made concerning his future by the Reds, Adam Lallana is reported to be keen on leaving the Merseyside club as early as this winter window.
However, Rangers are keen to land a creative midfielder having suffered the lack of depth in their middle in the first half of the season and the England international has been identified as the best for the club.
Managed by Reds legend, Steven Gerrard, Rangers are hopeful that a deal can be influenced by the relationship between both clubs owing to their manager.
The likes of Turkish outfit Fenerbahce and English Premier League side Wolves have been leading in the race for Adam Lallana but from indications, they could be beaten by Rangers who have got a good relationship with Liverpool in the past.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old has got a contract with the Reds until 2020 with a release clause of £20 million.
Ancelotti makes shocking transfer revelation of Liverpool star
Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has confessed that he made attempts to snap up Naby Keita while he was German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich coach but the deal failed to work through.
Eventually, Naby Keita joined Liverpool from another German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig for a whopping sum of £54 million in the last summer window.
Napoli were first encouraged to move in for Naby Keita after seeing several bids from the English Premier League side rejected by the German side.
Napoli were also not alone in the clubs that attempted to seal the player from Liverpool’s sight as Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona were also understood to be interested in the star player.
IT was a difficult season for Naby Keita in his debut season as he was injured and saw just 8 games which was a big blow but that has since changed as he has become a member of the team as well as making big impact with his presence.
Carlo Ancelotti admitted that Naby Keita has transformed to become a different and better player from what he used to be when plying his trade in Germany stressing that missing out on the player is a big regret for him and his former side.
