Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made his intention known to the club that the two strikers are crux for him.
Chelsea saw a win against Cardiff City and the influence of Giroud showed how resilient Blues were after he made two assist to Hazard goals. He may not be found in goal scoring position but his presence creates more opportunities than Alvaro Morata.
It was evident that Sarri will tactically rotate both players depending on the nature of the game.
In Chelsea’s point of view, Morata only scored one goal in 4 appearances while Giroud is suffering from goal drought and he now appears to be the only player who is more comfortable to registering his name to the assist list.
According to Sarri who understands both players, mentioned a few things about them:
It means that the £60 million player will start against the Greek side PAOK on Thursday while Giroud will watch from the bench perhaps in preparation against West Ham.
Giroud has ended his goal drought in the international break after scoring a cool volley against the Netherlands to earn the World Cup winners another successful victory in a hard-fought match.
However, It was earlier reported that Sarri could look for a complete player in Serbian international Alexander Mitrovic who has scored 4 goals in 5 Premier League appearances.
