Manchester United manager José Mourinho is set to add more quality to his team at the final third when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Though there are many strikers in his team, the former Chelsea boss believes his team are not the goals he wanted so, he is looking at the prospect of bringing another proven goal poacher into the team.
However, young England striker Marcus Rashford might be forced to leave Old Trafford in January should Mourinho complete his proposed move for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.
It was reported via Spanish media AS, that the Portuguese is keen on improving his attacking threat in the second half of the season, therefore, he has picked up interest in the striker, who scored 29 goals in 34 matches for the Nerazzurri throughout last season.
The reports further claimed that the player is hoping to leave the San Siro stadium in the next transfer window as he hopes to move elsewhere in his career.
Should Mourinho successfully capture the Argentine player, it is certain Rashford would further be pushed down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Since last winter, the Englishman has seen his game-time drastically reduced as Mourinho prefer Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez ahead of him.
With Icardi in the team, Mourinho will have so much quality strikers to call upon, therefore, Rashford will only get a handful of games with the Old Trafford outfits.
United tackle Watford later today but Rashford won’t be seen in Mourinho’s team as he begins his three-match ban today.
