Paris St Germain boss Thomas Tuchel rested two important players that can do a whole damage to any team in a clash against St Etienne where they won comfortably at home.
However the first half was really difficult before Julian Draxler gave the host the lead in the 22nd minutes. While the visitors continued to push as they sort for goals PSG’s all-time goal scorer Edison Cavani extended the lead with a penalty in the 51st-minutes.
The fun continued as Angel Di Maria and Moussa Diaby registered their names on the score sheet as it ended 4-0.
Both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were watching and trying to keep fit ahead of the Champions League clash against Liverpool as Tuchel expressed his gratitude for seeing a comfortable win without the help of the goal poachers.
“It’s important to several options when we play. Today we were without Neymar and Kylian and I’m happy to have used players that were here during the international break.” Said Tuchel.
He also made reference to Liverpool as an adequate preparation for going into a clash with facing the second best team in the champions league last season.
“It was a good rehearsal, good for the confidence ahead of Tuesday’s match in Anfield against Liverpool.” He added
PSG will face Liverpool and Tuesday but no one is expecting a win as such but one entertaining football with lots of goals.
