Manchester United young striker Marcus Rashford has been advised by former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher to leave Old traford as soon as possible.

According to Carragher — after watching the player helped the Three Lions to a 1-0 victory over Switzerland — last night, the 21-year-old needs to join a club like Everton in the next transfer market if he must rediscover his great form.

Carragher claimed that Romelu Lukaku is ahead of the youngster in United’s pecking order and it would be a very difficult task displacing the Belgium star from Mourinho’s starting line-up.

“Romelu Lukaku is in front of Rashford and I, don’t see Rashford displacing him as long as he is there,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

While analyzing England’s victory against Switzerland yesterday, Carragher advised Rashford to take a clue from his United teammate Romelu Lukaku, who joined Everton from Chelsea after enduring a tough spell at Stamford Bridge.

“But remember when Lukaku was at Chelsea and he had to come away and go to Everton. Then he ended up as top scorer and got his move to Man Utd.” he said

Lukaku rediscovered his blistering goalscoring form while playing for the Merseyside club before heading to Old Trafford two seasons ago.

Marcus Rashford is yet to start a game for the Red Devils this season as Mourinho believes so much in Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku’s partnership.

Manchester United battle Watford on Saturday and Mourinho would be hoping his players continue their recent fine which saw them overcome Burnley two weeks ago.
