Suarez, Coutinho: Barca ready to make a third swoop for another Liverpool star in January.

Published

on

Alberto Moreno

Liverpool fans must have hatred for Barcelona about how they normally get away with signing most of their best players from Anfield; not minding to even break the banks.

Liverpool sold Suarez for £75 million then the Catalan giants came knocking for Coutinho has they splashed £142 million on him.

Barcelona have come again but do I think the fans will be worried? Well, I don’t think so because they are in for the Spanish left-back who is yet to kick the ball with the Reds this season.

After keeping tabs on Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal and Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luiz, Barca finally added Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno since Lucas Digne departed to Everton during the summer transfer.

Barca are ahead of rivals Real Madrid in the league table, after grabbing 3 straight wins in 3 but are still in search of a left back.

The Spanish player has shown how much of an attacking minded player he is but made several mistakes that cost Jurgen Klopp to drop points.

Moreno has however scored 3 goals and made 11 assist since 2015 but he could be a good replacement for Jordi alba as both players are really fast with the ball.

Liverpool fans may be overwhelmed by this movement but would now accept letting him go.

Should Liverpool allow him it will be the third player bought from Anfield in 4 years.

Do you think Moreno should stay or leave?

Unai Emery

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has demanded consistency from his players as they prepare to face relegation battlers Southampton in their Premier League clash on Sunday.

In his pre-match thoughts ahead of the game, Unai Emery revealed that consistency is key in their quest for a top-four finish at the end of this Premier League campaign.

The former Almeria and Valencia boss also pointed out that Premier League is the priority for him and his players at the expense of the Europa League.

Arsenal progressed into the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday after a 3-1 aggregate win over Belarusian club BATE Borisov made possible by the 3-0 thrashing of their opponents in the second leg.

The Gunners will now face French club Rennes for a place in the quarterfinals of the competition after they stunned Spanish La Liga side Real Betis in the last round.

Arsenal have struggled for consistency since their unbeaten run ended in the reverse fixture with Southampton.

The Gunners started the season with two successive defeats in what is Unai Emery’s first season as an Arsenal manager.

Those two defeats were followed by a 22-match unbeaten run stopped by the Saints.

Arsenal have lost seven of their 15 games since then including elimination from the domestic cup competitions.

Eden Hazard

West London outfit Chelsea might not be alone in the transfer ban in coming weeks with claims that they might be joined by Premier League defending Champions Man City.

The Blues were hammered with a ban from two transfer windows as well as a fine for a transfer deal with a minor which is against the FIFA rule.

However, the latest report claims that the Citizens are currently being investigated for the same reasons and they could be hammered as well if found guilty of the offence.

Although, the West London outfit have vowed to appeal the ban claiming that some of their petitions were not considered before the ban was placed.

This development is expected to affect the Blues team ahead of next season especially now that they are battling to secure wins under manager Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea are expected to part ways with Belgium international Eden Hazard at the end of the season after he refused to sign a new deal at the club. Suggestions are that he would be heading to his dream club, the Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

With Chelsea set to lose their biggest asset and having no opportunity to replace him, it is no doubt a hard pill for the fans to swallow.

The Blues team have therefore been handed a fine of about £460,000 and they will not sign a player in the next two transfer windows, a development that is expected to be a big blow to the team, knowing that they will have some players like Belgium international Eden Hazard leave the team while Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas would not be replaced.

However, it has been reported that the West London outfit are not ready to accept fate but will go ahead to appeal the ban despite respecting the efforts by FIFA in ensuring that mirrors are fully protected in the game.

Chelsea hinted that they have made some submissions which they expect FIFA to consider before making the decision. They will push for it to be considered, according to reports.

More so, this is not the first time that the West London outfit are being banned by the FA with the last happening in 2009 but they had appealed it and the world football governing body had it reduced.
