Nabil Fekir has long been linked with a move to the English premier league but all attempts fell through. Recently it was reported that Liverpool made a move but Lyon rejected his move while Chelsea was reluctant due to the many options in the attack.

The France international is yet to renew his contract which is remaining two years and it appears that Lyon would start considering to let go of their best player if they really want to make money from the business point of view but they can close a new deal if possible. However, Fakir is yet to receive any contract extension talk.

According to the 25-year-old star:

“My future? We have not discussed an extension yet, we will see what happens.”

Liverpool will still be close to Lyon’s door in January while hoping they would make a deal as Jurgen Klopp is still looking for more depth in the attack.

But with the pressure mounting on the Lyon striker, he still admitted being cool-headed as he is facing a new chapter of his life

“What happened with Liverpool is straight out of my head, I turned the page,” said Fekir

Should Lyon and Fekir refuse to reach to an agreement then the three front line would have a lot to compete for as Liverpool already have so many attacking options; few of them are Shaqiri, Origi and Daniel Sturridge who are still fighting for the first-team spot.
