England captain Harry Kane will have his national manager to thank ahead of the clash between Tottenham and Liverpool during the weekend.

Harry Kane captained the Three Lions in the UNC match against Spain but couldn’t score or create any clear-cut chances as Luiz Enrique’s men were dominant to the end.

If Southgate had decided to start Kane, then fatigue would not allow the goal poacher to be at his best ahead of the encounter in Saturday’s premier league and midweek’s champions league match.

Tottenham’s manager Mauricio Pochettino will only have to watch out for Eric Dier’s fitness level as it appears that he would captain the Three Lions against Switzerland.

The Argentine had a good spell against Jurgen Klopp last season albeit, the German is still ahead of him on head-to-head.

Klopp was phenomenal two season’s ago against all 5 big guns as he finished unbeaten but was defeated last season by Pep Guardiola’s masterpiece at the Etihad and Pochettino’s genius at Wembley.

Tottenham May have different agendas against the big guns this season, after earning all three points against Jose Mourinho’s men at Old Trafford three weeks ago.

Harry Kane will now need to pay close attention ahead of this encounter, to fight for a win at Wembley that would see his teammates share equal points with Liverpool after losing away in a surprise defeat to Watford at the Vicarage road last week.
