Manchester United were reportedly linked with a move for Arsenal Star player Mesut Ozil during the previous winter transfer market but the player ignored Mourinho’s approach as he signed a five year contract which made him the Gunners highest paid player in history.

Though he receives a huge amount of money every week, the German’s playing time is not guaranteed under Unai Emery.

Ozil, who recently put an end to his international career due to racial abuse, seems not rated by the former PSG manager and he reports claimed he could be overlooked by the gaffer in most part of this season.

With such prediction by pundits and reporters, bookmakers are backing Mourinho to finally get his longtime target in January.

According to Ladbrokes, the Red Devils manager has 4/1 chances of reuniting with the former Real Madrid player whom he worked with during his not-too-successful spell at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Ladbrokes also suggested that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are equally in the race to capture the £350k weekly earner in the next transfer market.

The bookmakers gave Fenerbahce a leading odd of 5/2 to beat United to Ozil’s signature in the coming transfer market.

Manchester United are presently lacking a creative midfielder and that is the major reason why the Red Devils faithful should be glad about this report.
