Manchester United’s target Harry Maguire has reportedly signed a new contract with the Foxes after failing to move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.
The England international was linked with a big-money move to the Theater of Dreams but the Foxes were able to block any move from materializing.
After blocking Maguire’s proposed move to Mourinho’s team, the King Power outfits offered the 25-year-old a new contract which wasn’t accepted by the Englishman.
However, according to The Mirror, Maguire has signed the deal offered to him by Leicester City’s hierarchy.
The British media revealed that the new contract will see the former Hull City defender pockets nothing less than £80k on weekly basis.
If this report is anything to trust, it means the player will be receiving almost double of what he was collecting before the summer World Cup in Russia earlier this year.
The financial terms present in the new contract might be a bit higher but the Foxes fans are very happy that one of their best players is staying for another season despite interest from top clubs in Europe.
Maguire is currently with the Three Lions as they prepare for their game against Switzerland.
The player was in action for the team as they lose 2-1 to Spain last night and he would be hoping to help the team get back to winning ways after recording three straight defeats.
