Former Arsenal star, Santi Carzola might have left the Gunners this summer, the Spaniard remains one of the best players to have featured for the team.
Having joined the North London club in 2012-13 season from Malaga, the Spaniard wasted no time in settling into the team as he was consistently named in Wenger’s starting lineup in his first season at the Emirates Stadium.
After many years of successful outings with the club, Carzola suffered a career-threatening injury in 2016 which ruled him out of action for more than two years.
According to reports via Arsenal’s official website Arsenal.com – two years ago, the player suffered a knee injury.
After eight massive Achilles surgeries, Carzola finally returned to action before the end of last season, however, he couldn’t feature for the North London club again.
Many would have thought that the player’s regrettable moment at the Emirates Stadium was the time he spent in the recuperating room, shockingly, the player didn’t say much about the incident.
However, his regret as Arsenal player was the way he left the club. The Spaniard was unhappy because he was unable to officially say his goodbye to the fans, who showed him nothing but love throughout his trying time at the club.
