This summer transfer window was brought to a close sooner than later base on the new transfer rules made by English FA.

According to the Premier League’s Administrative board, all dealings among Premier League clubs will end a day to the first match of every season.

The summer transfer window wasn’t a great one for Mourinho as he was only able to acquire three players, of which only one has been active since the start of the season.

Though Mourinho was linked with numerous star players, he was unable to get most of his prime targets during the transaction period.

However, with some months to another transfer period, the Portuguese manager is definitely set to boost his defensive setup for the second half of the season by getting new world-class defenders.

To get the best from the upcoming winter market, the former Porto manager must reignite his interest in these players — Toby Alderweireld and Sergej Milinko-Savic

The Tottenham full-back was targeted by Mourinho during the summer but he couldn’t lay hold on the player.

Considering how woeful his team have performed so far this season, Mourinho needs to get him as soon as possible.

The £60m-rated defender is a good passer of the ball and a good ball-winner who will surely impress at Old Trafford.

Sergej Milinko-Savic

According to Calciomercato during the last transfer window, Manchester United approached Lazio for the player’s signature but the Serie A side held on to their star man.

The strong, powerful, skilful and good ball-juggling midfielder is surely missing in Mourinho’s team as Paul Pogba has blown hot and cold so far this season.
