Nikola Milenkovic

Manchester are reportedly one of the club’s vying for the services of young Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.

The 20-year-old versatile defender, who can operate as a centre-back and full-back, is one of the best defenders in Serie A so far this season.

His timely tackles and his ability to intersect passes have made him a standout performer among his peers since the start of the ongoing campaign.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed by many European clubs, who are showing intense desire to capture his signature at the next winter transfer market.

According to reports, Milenkovic is drawing interest from most European powerhouses and he’s being linked with a move to Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Though his move to Juventus was called off as the Turin outfits turned their attention to Cristiano Ronaldo, the Scudetto Champions could reignite their interest in the player next year.

Calciomercato also claimed that the youngster was tracked by Bayern Munich during the summer window but the Bavarians failed in their bid for the Serbian international.

The same source are now reporting the Red Devils are also in the race for his signature. Mourinho has seen his team struggled at the back of the pitch this season and he’s reportedly listed the €35m-rated defender in the list of players he want to have in the next transfer market.
