Manchester United want-away winger/striker Anthony Martial has reportedly postponed his contract talks with the club’s representative.

According to the Sun, the young striker is not coy on extending his contract with the Theater of Dreams outfits as it remains unclear if he is Mourinho’s plan for the season.

The player hasn’t been consistent in Mourinho’s starting lineup since last season and this season might be similar as reports claimed that both parties are not having healthy relationships.

While joining the Red Devils from Monaco in 2014, there was a mutual agreement between Martial and United that the player would extend his stay at Old Trafford by 12 months once his current expires, however, the 22-year-old is yet to decide whether to continue with the agreement or not as he’s getting the playing time he deserves.

His benching role at United is having a negative influence on his international career as he was overlooked, once again, by Didier Deschamps in the list of players who played against Germany last night.

The player was equally ignored by the Les Blues head coach while announcing his triumphant World Cup squad back in May.

With his desire to postpone his contract talks with the club, United rivals Tottenham, who showed interest in the striker’s signature during the summer window, will be happy about this report because they now stand a chance of luring him to the Wembley Stadium in January.
