Arsenal are said to be eyeing a possible move for Atletico Madrid defender Felipe Luis in the next transfer market.

The Gunners are yet to keep a clean sheet so far this season and that hasn’t gone well with the club’s manager Unai Emery, who bought three defenders during the summer transfer window.

Though Atletico Madrid didn’t place the Brazilian star in the list of players they are willing to release in the coming transfer market, reports claimed that the Europa League Champions have set a price tag on his signature.

According to report emanating from Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Diego Simeone will listen to offer from the Gunners only if they bid nothing less than €30m for the defender’s service.

In the same report, the player has a release clause of €30m in his contract with the Spanish giants, therefore, Atletico are not willing to go beyond the clause while negotiating with their Premier League counterparts.

Luiz spent a season in England during his woeful spell at Stamford Bridge but he would be hoping to have a perfect and brilliant stay at Emirates Stadium, should he eventually switch to the North London club in January.

Luiz is in the last year of his contract with Simeone’s side, so, he has the freedom to negotiate a deal with the Gunners over a possible move to the Emirates Stadium.

It remains unseen whether the Argentine manager would want to sanction the player’s move away from the Wanda Metropolitan Stadium considering his experience and importance to his team.
