Though United started this season on a very disappointing note, it is obvious that they have quality players, especially in the middle of the park, who are capable of lifting the Premier League trophy by the end of the season.

However, the huge number of stars and world-class midfielders in the team is having a negative impact on Ander Herrera’s game-time.

The Spanish midfielder enjoined a great run of games during last s season but the acquisition of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk has pushed him down the pecking order and that has limited him to start from the bench.

The player, who has some months left in his contract, is reportedly said to be considering a move out of the Theater of Dreams in January due to United’s prolonged contract discussions.

Despite being one of Mourinho’s most trusted players in the 2017-18 season, the Red Devils Vice-chairman Ed Woodward failed to renew his contract while Marouane Fellaini, who was subject of transfer speculation during the summer transfer window, has been offered a new deal.

Having failed to start in any match – except Tottenham game – so far this season, coupled with the club’s reluctance to offer him a new deal, it is obvious that his services are no longer needed by Mourinho and the team.

It is therefore imperative for the Spaniard to move out of the team in January, should he want to get quality playing time for the rest of the season.
