The Blues have been in flying form this season. Recording 4 wins in 4 matches as they found themselves in a similar position with Liverpool and Watford.

Club manager, Maurizio Sarri has played a part in the team’s success and it appears that life at the brigade is now one-sided, as their possessive football has made even Kepa a spectator.

However, few players are currently running on contract which would expire sooner or rather than later.

Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Brazilian defender David Luiz contracts will expire next summer should Chelse owner Abramovich fails to intervene.

David Luiz has participated in all four appearances, helping his team players to secure two clean sheets in the back line. Fabregas is due to resume after nursing an injury while during summer.

Luiz who was in the bad book of Antonio Conte last season, now has a far better relationship with Maurizio Sarri, who has started him in all Chelsea’s game this season.

Former club captain, Gary Cahill has fallen under the radar as his contract is also due to expire next summer, alongside, 31-year-old Olivier Giroud.

Chelsea’s major concern is the Belgian captain, Eden Hazard whose contract would expire in 2020.

To the club’s greatest surprise, there was no clear interest Real Madrid following the World Cup but it appears that Hazard has been influenced by Sarri to stay.
