It was earlier stated that the Nigerian attacker Victor Moses retired from international football in other to focus more on his career.
He found the best part of his career so far when he was used as an integral part in Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
Although Moses was used as a substitute under the Italian until he switched to a 3:4:3 formation.
He was very strong and worked perfectly with Cesar Azpilicueta at the right-hand side.
Even though Conte bought Zappacosta, he couldn’t compete with him in the defensive role.
However, the former Wigan player has fallen below Azpilicueta in Maurizio Sarri’s pecking order.
Sarri said, If Victor Moses is to return to the team’s starting lineup, he’ll need to improve in his new position
The 59-year old man has revealed that Moses would play as a winger this season.
When he was asked why he exempted Moses so far, Sarri replied:
“Because he changed the position in the pitch. Now we are trying to let him to play like a winger.”
Moses is currently working hard in training to catch the attention of his manager, but there are so many important players on the right who have impressed Sarri; considering the left-hand side is not even an option.
If the Nigerian striker could inculcate a new attacking habit, he could challenge Willian or Pedro for the starting XI.
