Arsenal and Switzerland star Granit Xhaka has once again been criticised by Arsenal fans for the role he plays in the Cardiff City’s first goal of the encounter.
Though the game ended in favour of the North London outfits, the fans are not happy with the midfielder, who is too prone to making errors.
Shkodran Mustafi has given the Gunners the lead in the early minutes of the game when he nod home the ball off Xhaka’s cross.
Things was expectedly going smooth for the Gunners until the Swiss international characteristically gave the ball away to Cardiff player who dashed forward with great speed and found Victor Cameras with a lovely pass.
Cameras made no mistake in putting the ball past Petr Cech, who also was a culprit of a costly mistake during the game, to equalized for the Welsh side.
Having seen his blunders, the Gunners faithfuls couldn’t ignore the player’s dismal performance leading to Cardiff City’s equalizer.
They took to social media to blast him and also called on Emery to drop him from the starting lineup as soon as Premier League resumes after the international break.
According to Tolulope (@dontjealousme), Xhaka shouldn’t be starting ahead of impressive Torreira. He side nobody hates the player but he didn’t deserve a place in the team’s starting lineup.
Another, who has been the player’s supporter for a long time, said he is disappointed with Xhaka’s display during the encounter.
