12:30 Leicester City vs Liverpool
There will surely be huge cacophony at the King Power stadium. I think it will be a difficult game for Liverpool as Claude Puel’s men will only have one thing on his mind, which is to get at least a points against the current league leaders. Since Vardy will miss out on this I think the host will rather not play behind the ball in the quest to go for a counter attack. It looks like Klopp will make changes owing to the tired legs that managed to see a 1 nil win against Brighton last week. I think there will be a few number of goals here and I don’t see anyone winning.
MY PICK: 1:1
15:00 Brighton vs Fulham
Brighton were brilliant at home when they played against Mourinho’s side. I think they really came prepared this season. Even Klopp had to sigh deeply when they went to Anfield last week because they were very close to garbing a point. They look smart and very sharp in front of their fans. I watched Fulham played against the tired legs of Burnely and how they got more of the possession before scoring their first goal against their neighbors (Tottenham). However, I think they would struggle to settle down against this Brighton’s side.
MY PICK: 2:0
15:00 Chelsea vs Bournemouth
Stamford Bridge is already becoming a place to watch entertaining and high pressing football. I saw the way the Blues played against Newcastle; Benitez could not stand the high pressing football imposed by Sarri’s men. Albeit he went with a plan to have his players stay behind the ball but it didn’t go well at the end. Bournemouth are in flying form and have had their best start in the premier league, winning 2 out of 3. The way they played against Everton wasn’t too pleasant because they were close to losing to 10 men in front of their fans before it ended in stalemate. Notwithstanding, they are very good in attacking which was how they got the 3 points that ended Chelsea’s champions league hopes last season. But that was under Conte’s men. I still think Chelsea will struggle to get 3 points.
MY PICK: 3:2
15:00 Crystal Palace vs Southampton
One thing I love about the Eagles is how they always fight to the end. They make their opposition restless no matter how far the score line is. I am a bit tentative about Benteke’s form. However, they always look forward to seeing their best players (Zaha and Townsend) on the pitch do the magic. Southampton have not really gotten excited so far, after losing to Leicester city at The St Mary’s. Though they have something to cheer for in their Carabao cup victory against Brighton in the midweek. But do I think they are back in form? I still think they won’t be comfortable at Selhurst park.
MY PICK: 2:0
15:00 Everton vs Huddersfield
Silvers men are really pleasant to watch but I think their intensive display is paying in both positive and negative way. Well, the optimistic part is that they always try to win and don’t make their opponents have a fresh breathe until the end but they always get cards. Their record signing Richarlison will as well miss this match owing to the red card he got against Bournemouth. Although they will rely on the in form Theo Walcott and the support of the fans to help them out. I think Huddersfield will still struggle and Everton will get a win.
MY PICK: 2:0
15:00 West Ham vs Wolves
West Ham really spent much at the summer because they were looking for greener pasture but it seems the same old story is about to be unfolded. The way their supporters left the pitch before the end of the match against Bournemouth showed how they’ve lost faith in the players. If they really want to rejuvenate the love, they just have to win tomorrow. Wolves however impressed against the defending champions last week. They were also unlucky against Leicester city so I think Nuno’s men will get atleast a point in this game.
MY PICK: 2:2
17:30 Manchester City vs Newcastle
Pep’s side were not happy they dropped point agaisnt Wolves and that’s what the champions see as defeat in their sight. I don’t think Newcastle will see a point here even though Benitez works on his tactics. Yes, he knows how to make his team difficult to beat but this may be more than difficult to arrange. They will surely strain the City side but we might start seeing the goals in the second half.
MY PICK: 2:0
13:30 Cardiff vs Arsenal
Well it doesn’t seem like Cardiff will score in this match but when you look at how the Gunners allow their oppositions penetrate their defense you might start thinking they would concede yet again. I think Warnock’s men will score but Arsenal may get a win.
MY PICK: 1:2
16:00 Burnley vs Manchester United
Burnley can now have a little bit of fresh air, owing to their Europa League qualification campaign. Albeit they bowed out against Olympiakos. They don’t seem to have that rhythm that placed them in 7th position last season. They look more viable and if they still keep Joe Hart on the pitch I think they will still concede. Mourinho’s side will not want to drop point any further because even though a fraction of the players that played against Tottenham might miss out on Sunday. The expectation from Man U has reduced but they still look more likely to get a win here.
MY PICK: 1:3
16:00 Watford vs Tottenham
Vicarage road is now a difficult place to get victories but that may not be the case for Pochettino’s side who have made it clear against Manchester United on Monday. I think it will be very difficult for Tottenham because this Watford’s side are so compact at the back. This match will probably end in stalemate.
MY PICK: 1:1
Done Deal: Arsenal Defender Joins FC Twente
Arsenal defender Julio Pleguezuelo has signed for Dutch Eredivisie club FC Twente following the expiration of his contract with the Gunners.
His transfer to FC Twente was confirmed by the Dutch club.
The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract with FC Twente with the option of another year.
Spanish defender Julio Pleguezuelo joins FC Twente after his Arsenal contract ended this summer.
Julio Pleguezuelo spent two years at the famed La Masia Academy before signing for Arsenal in 2013.
The Spaniard spent six years in North London before moving to FC Twente.
He didn’t make any single appearance in the Premier League.
His only outing for the Arsenal senior team came during the 2-1 win over League One side Blackpool in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.
Julio Pleguezuelo captained the Arsenal youth teams during his time with the Gunners and also spent some time in Spain with clubs like Mallorca and Gimnastic de Terragona.
The Spaniard was sent out on loan to the two aforementioned Spanish sides.
Despite the average defensive showing from Arsenal during the just concluded Premier League season, Julio Pleguezuelo didn’t get his chance to shine for the Gunners in the league.
The Gunners conceded 51 goals in just 38 games in the Premier League.
Deal on!!! Chelsea suffer major blow, Cech plays down move
The West London outfit Chelsea have suffered a major blow in their bid to land Arsenal legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech as their sporting director ahead of the coming season.
Petr Cech has already announced his decision to quit active football at the end of the season with his next step yet to be known but will not happen until after he has played his last Arsenal game, the Europa League finals, against Chelsea later on Thursday.
It was earlier reported that the stopper has got an offer from Chelsea and Arsenal to take charge of the youth team but a report yesterday claims that the West London outfit are offering Petr Cech a sporting director role to have him return back to the Stamford Bridge.
However, the legendary stopper, who is one of the best the English Premier League has ever had refuted the claim that he would be joining Chelsea as their new reporting director.
According to him, no decision has been made, stressing that it would only happen after he has played his last Arsenal game.
Howbeit, Petr Cech seeks to leave the stage while the ovation is very high by lifting the Europa League title with the North London outfit Arsenal later on Thursday.
Deal On: Arsenal Plotting Summer Move For £25m-rated Defender
North London giants Arsenal are eyeing a big money move for young Saint Etienne defender William Saliba.
According to the publication from popular media outlet Goal, the Gunners are pushing for a summer move for the 18-year-old utility defender.
William Saliba can play in several positions across the defence.
The highly-rated French defender has impressed a great deal since making his first team debut for Saint Etienne this season.
Saint Etienne has made 16 appearances for the French Ligue 1 club this season.
It was also revealed that the player has been attracting the interest of several clubs on the European football stage.
As many as 20 clubs are interested in the aforementioned Saliba.
Arsenal scouts were in attendance to run the rule over their transfer target Saliba at the weekend according to Goal reporter Charles Watts.
William Saliba played 90 minutes as he helped Saint Etienne to a 3-0 win over OGC Nice in their penultimate game of this French Ligue season.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is most likely to strengthen his squad with a new centre back this summer in the wake of the average defensive displays shown by the Gunners during the just concluded Premier League season and French defender William Saliba fits the bill.
No Deal: Arsenal Target Will Stay At Man City
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is adamant that in-demand winger Leroy Sane will stay at the club beyond this summer’s transfer window.
German international Sane has been linked with clubs like Arsenal and Bayern Munich but his club cum international teammate believes that he will stay at the Etihad Stadium.
Ilkay Gundogan talked about Sane during an interview with Sports Bild amidst the doubts over his own future at Manchester City.
The German midfielder has just one year left on his current deal with Manchester City.
Manchester City might need to sell him rather than let him leave on a free transfer next summer if the Citizens can’t agree on a new deal with the aforementioned Gundogan.
Ilkay Gundogan played a big role for Manchester City as they won the treble this season especially towards the end of the season when first choice defensive midfielder Fernandinho was injured.
The former Borussia Dortmund star filled in for the injured Fernandinho towards the end of the just concluded season.
For Sane, the young winger has two years left on his Manchester City contract and the Citizens might sell him this summer if he doesn’t agree on a new deal.
Leroy Sane has not always been a regular starter for Manchester City.
He scored 10 goals and weighed in with 10 assists as Manchester City retained their Premier League title at the expense of Liverpool.
Vote Of Confidence: Arsenal Midfielder Would Flourish At New Club Juventus
Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is certain that new signing Aaron Ramsey will be an instant hit at the club following his free transfer move to the Old Lady this summer.
Welsh international Ramsey has signed a four-year deal with Juventus and he’s expected to join them this summer upon the expiration of his Arsenal contract next month.
Wojciech Szczesny talked about former Arsenal teammate Ramsey during a chat with Italian news portal La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Polish international goalkeeper narrated the role he played in convincing Ramsey to sign for Juventus.
Szczesny is in his second season at Juventus after joining the Italian Serie A champions from Arsenal in the summer of 2017.
He has won two successive league titles with the Old Lady.
The former Arsenal shot stopper became the first choice at Juventus following the exit of veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon last summer.
Wojciech Szczesny had spent two years on loan at Italian capital club AS Roma before moving to Juventus permanently.
He was a teammate of Aaron Ramsey at Arsenal before his exit at the start of last season.
Both players will link up again this summer when Ramsey joins Juventus officially.
His first game for Juventus could be the International Champions Cup (ICC) clash with Tottenham Hotspur in July.
Confirmed: Arsenal Target To Stay At Leverkusen
Europa League finalists Arsenal have been dealt a major transfer blow following the news that one of their targets will stay at his German club.
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz has been strongly linked with a summer move to Arsenal but the young midfielder is almost certain to remain at the Bay Arena next season.
Club manager Peter Bosz confirmed in his recent interview that Kai Havertz will stay at the club beyond this summer.
In a chat with the official TV of Bayer Leverkusen, Bayer 04 TV, Peter Bosz revealed that Havertz will stay at the club next season while he was less convinced about the future of Julian Brandt.
Peter Bosz revealed that Liverpool target Brandt might still stay at the club after Bayer Leverkusen sealed a spot in the Champions League next season.
Bayer Leverkusen qualified for Europe’s premier club competition by beating Hertha Berlin 5-1 on Saturday.
Julian Brandt scored one of the goals for Bayer Leverkusen during the game that could be his last for the German Bundesliga club.
It was his 10th goal for Bayer Leverkusen this season in addition to his 17 assists.
On his part, Kai Havertz has scored 20 goals for Leverkusen this season in all competitions and was previously linked with Arsenal earlier in the season.
Confirmed: £44m Arsenal-linked Midfielder Open To Atletico Exit
Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has kept his options open as the transfer window hots up this summer according to the BBC Sports.
It was revealed that the Ghanian international star is open to an exit from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid with several Premier League clubs keen on a deal for him.
Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United are willing to take a chance on the utility player.
Thomas Partey can play in several roles namely as a right-back, centre back and as a midfielder.
He has a £44m release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid.
Partey is an important player at Atletico Madrid and he has made 42 appearances for the Rojiblancos this season.
The young midfielder is expected to be a key player for the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) this summer.
Arsenal and Manchester United are both in need of reinforcements in the midfield position and Thomas Partey could be a perfect candidate for both clubs.
The Gunners need to sign at least a midfield replacement for Juventus-bound Aaron Ramsey this summer after the player agreed on a four-year free transfer deal with the Italian champions.
On their part, Manchester United need a new midfielder for Ander Herrera who’s expected to join French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the coming weeks.
Big Opposition: Arsenal Face Liverpool Threat For Assist Machine
Europa League finalists Arsenal will have to deal with the threat of Liverpool in the chase for Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser according to The Sun.
Ryan Fraser had a very good Premier League campaign and it’s not surprising that clubs like Arsenal are on his trail.
Champions League finalists Liverpool are the latest club to join the race to sign the aforementioned Fraser.
The London duo of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur had previously been mentioned as a potential transfer destination for the Scottish international player.
Arsenal see him as a possible replacement for Aaron Ramsey who’s expected to link up with his new teammates at Italian champions Juventus at the end of his contract with the Gunners this summer.
Ramsey has agreed on a free transfer move to Juventus with a four-year contract already signed to make him the highest paid footballer in Great Britain at £400,000 per annum.
Tottenham Hotspur have been short in the midfield area since Belgian international star Moussa Dembele left the club for China in January and Ryan Fraser could provide cover in that department.
For Chelsea, Fraser could be a direct replacement for midfielder Cesc Fabregas who left the Blues in January.
Ryan Fraser scored seven goals and also provided 14 assists during the just concluded Premier League season.
Only Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard (15) bagged more assists than Ryan Fraser who has just one year left on his contract at Bournemouth.
Revealed: Arsenal Target Will Leave Man City On THIS Condition
Manchester City winger Leroy Sane will reportedly leave the club this summer if he fails to sign a new deal according to the publication from popular media outlet Goal.
German international Sane has two years left on his current deal with the Citizens and it has been revealed that the club could sell him to prevent him from running down his contract which runs out at the end of 2021.
The former Schalke 04 player has been linked with major European sides like German champions Bayern Munich and North London giants Arsenal.
Leroy Sane and compatriot Ilkay Gundogan are in the same situation at Manchester City though the latter has one year left on his contract.
Both Sane and Gundogan are important members of the record-breaking Manchester City squad this season.
Manchester City won four trophies this season as they completed a clean sweep on the domestic front.
The Citizens won all the three major trophies on offer domestically in addition to the Community Shield.
Apart from the Community Shield, Manchester City also retained the Carabao Cup and the Premier League titles they won last season before adding the FA Cup title at the weekend with the 6-0 thrashing of fellow top flight side Watford.
Deal On: Arsenal Target Talks Up Summer Return To Europe
Dalian Yifang forward Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco has talked up the possibility of moving back to Europe this summer.
The Belgian international attacker was close to returning to European football during the winter transfer window but Premier League giants Arsenal were unable to agree on a deal for him.
Carrasco spoke about the botched move to Arsenal in a chat with The Sun.
According to him, the president was not in full support of a proposed transfer back to Europe but a move is most likely this summer.
Arsenal were keen on taking Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco on loan in January until the end of this season with the option to make the transfer a permanent one this summer but the move didn’t materialize.
The Gunners were rebuffed by his Chinese Super League outfit.
Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco played for French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco and Spanish club Atletico Madrid before moving to Dalian Yifang last year.
He was part of the Atletico Madrid squad that reached the Champions League final in 2016 before they were beaten by city rivals Real Madrid on penalties after both sides had played 1-1 after regulation time and extra time.
Carrasco scored the only goal of the game for Atletico Madrid but it was not enough for the Rojiblancos.
