Liverpool remain 100% in the campaign in a hard-fought 2:1 victory against Leicester City.

The reds were 2-0 up in the first half when they thought they only needed to finish their flying form in style. Leicester came up in the second half with a different mindset which and it paid off a little bit, thanks to Allison blunder which elated the voice of the crowd.

The visitors went in front after just ten minutes with strident noise from King Power Stadium when Andrew Robertson crossed low into the menace area and Sadio Mane taking one touch before scoring yet again.

In the last minutes of added time, Roberto Firmino doubled the lead with a powerful header that passed through the hands of Kasper Schmeichel.

Liverpool would have scored more but Mo Salah’s misfiring gave Klopp an option of replace him with Shakiri.

The reds were cool and far convincing after the break but Wes Morgan nearly gave the host the lead, unfortunately, he couldn’t connect properly with the ball.

Just a few minutes later, Kelechi Iheanacho went close to the Goalkeeper as Alisson tried to dribble the Nigerian striker. Iheanacho snatched the ball and immediately crossed a low one to Rachid Ghezzal who diverted the ball into the back of the net.

Klopp made changes that later pacified the game as Liverpool got the point they deserved.

The Reds remain in the first position with 12 points and they will face a bigger task against Tottenham after the international break.

Arsenal will reportedly make a third bid for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney in the coming days.

This is according to the publication from Daily Record which revealed that the Gunners are preparing a third bid for the Scottish international left-back.

It was revealed that Arsenal will make another £25m for the player with better payment arrangement.

Arsenal had earlier made a second bid of £25m which included £7m in add-ons.

Celtic swiftly turned down that second bid which had just £18m in upfront payment.

Arsenal will offer more in upfront payment from the £25m to meet the financial demand from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

The Gunners have identified Kieran Tierney as their major transfer target in their quest to sign a new left-back this summer.

They had earlier made a first bid of just £15m for the player.

Arsenal left-backs Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Mineral were unable to meet up with what was demanded by club manager Unai Emery in that position hence the need to sign a new player for that position.

Kieran Tierney, 22, has been recovering from hernia and hip problems but he’s expected to be fit by next month.

He wants the move to Arsenal but the Scottish player won’t force the transfer.

Gareth Bale

Premier League club Manchester United have turned down the opportunity to sign embattled Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale this summer.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the London Evening Standard which revealed that Manchester United have passed up the opportunity to sign the former Tottenham Hotspur hitman.

Manchester United are long-term admirers of Bale who’s surplus to requirements at Real Madrid after six seasons at the club.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the player is not in his plan at the weekend.

According to him, Gareth Bale will leave Real Madrid for a new club this summer despite the fact that he still has three years left on his current deal.

Bale became a Real Madrid player in the summer of 2013 when he joined the Los Merengues from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur for a then world-record fee of £85.3m.

He held that record for three years before Paul Pogba moved from Juventus to Manchester United for £89m during the summer transfer window in 2016.

Gareth Bale has scored more than 100 goals for Real Madrid since his move to the club six years ago.

The Welsh international forward won four Champions League titles during that period.

Harry Maguire has been linked with a move to Manchester United for the majority of this summer.

The 26-year-old is keen for the move to Manchester United to happen but Leicester City are holding out for a lot of money for him.

He has been advised on what to do to get his dream move by former Premier League player Charlie Adam.

While he was on British radio TalkSport, Charlie Adam told Harry Maguire that he has to force the transfer if he wants to become a Manchester United player this summer.

Harry Maguire has been a long-term transfer for Manchester United dating back to last summer when the former Sheffield United player impressed a great deal for the Three Lions of England at last year’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
