Reiss Nelson officially signed a long-term contract with Arsenal before heading to Hoffenheim on loan for the rest of the season.
It was earlier revealed via BBC yesterday that the youngster rejected offers from top clubs for his signature before reaching an agreement with the North London club.
According to Football London, the 18-year-old signed a three-year contract which will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2021.
After joining Hoffenheim in the early hours of today, the young striker was asked series of questions by newsmen which he happily answered.
When asked for his reason behind the new contract despite offers from Real Madrid, Nelson said Arsenal has been his home for more than 10 years, so he is comfortable being in the club. He also revealed that he was advised by Thierry Henry before he put pen to paper.
On his reasons for joining Hoffenheim, the youngster revealed that he believes in the manager’s ability to enhance his growth in the game so he decides to move to the team.
He further said he can’t wait to start playing for the team so as to show to the world the stuff he’s made of and what he’s capable of doing for he Bundesliga side.
Nelson was last season’s Premier League 2 player of the year and he is expected to get many goals for the side this season.
