Mourinho To Hijack City’s Move For £60m-rated Rubén Neve
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is believed to be eyeing a move for Wolverhampton’s midfielder Rubén Neve in the next transfer market, having failed to capture the youngster’s signature before the end of this summer transfer window.
The former Barcelona manager made a late move for the youngster on the deadline day but was unable to get him as Jorge Mendes — the player’s agent — failed to listen to any offer from the Premier League Champions.

However, Guardiola is impressed with the performance the youngster has put on with the newly promoted side since the season begins, so, he is desperate to get him in January.
According to Goal.com, Mourinho is prepared to block City’s move for the player as he has tagged Ruben Neve one of his prime target when the winter transfer market commences in January.
The Portuguese manager beat his rival to Alexis Sanchez’s service during the previous winter market, he is also hoping to do the same in the race for the young midfielder.
Meanwhile, as things stand, City are having an edge over the Red Devils in the race to capture the player.
This is because City’s sporting director, Txiki Begiristain shares great relationship with the player’s representative and that will play a huge role in seeing that the Citizens defeat their arch-rivals in the race for his signature.
Begiristain was involved in the transaction with Jorge Mendes in the transfer of many players – including Nicolas Otamendi, Bernardo Silva and Ederson – to the Etihad Stadium in recent years, so it will be an easy task taking Ruben Neve, who is valued at £60m, from the Molineux outfits in January.
