Manchester United Forward Criticised For Brighton’s Defeat
Reactions keep coming since United’s famous defeat to Brighton last Sunday.
Pundits, fans, and former footballers can’t stop talking about the club’s unexpected defeat to the Premier League ‘minnows’.
The latest comment on the game is coming from former England’s national team coach Sam Allardyce, who single out Anthony Martial for blame.
The Frenchman has been under huge criticism from Mourinho for a very long time and he’s said to be heading out Old Trafford but the Portuguese manager failed to sanction his proposed move to Tottenham.
According to Sam Allardyce, Martial was poor throughout the game and he lacked the quality of being a United player.
He said the 22-year-old striker has failed to grow in his career after his £50m switch to Old Trafford from Monaco.
While acting as Pundit for BeIN Sport, the former Sunderland manager said the youngster hasn’t justified his price and he needs to up his performance, else he didn’t deserve to be called a United player.
Though Martial was unconvincing during the game, all United players went far from their best.
Martial has proven himself with the Old Trafford outfits as he has been directly involved in 60 goals after 136 matches.
He was named in the starting lineup by Mourinho for the game but he didn’t justify his inclusion, just as every other person in the team.
