Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaks at length with the media ahead of the match against Crystal Palace On Monday.

The Reds battle the Eagles at Selhurst Park on Monday and they would be hoping to win their second match of the season.

However, Klopp was asked some questions from the media during his pre-match conference and he gave answers to all the questions.

When asked about the excitement among his players, the German manager confessed that the whole team are happy considering the way they’ve started the season (talking about the 4-0 thrashing of West Ham last week)

When asked If More Players would Leave Anfield, Klopp replied that he is not ready to let go of more players this summer irrespective of the bid he receives from suitors.

According to the manager, many clubs are making moves to sign some of his players but he won’t release any of them this summer as he wants to have many players in his team so as to improve his team’s performances throughout the season.

“I want a very good squad and the more players the better. But I really think we could give a few players the opportunity (to leave) but we have to see what happens. I have no number in my mind.” he said

However, Klopp revealed that he would allow some of his players, who desperately need a switch to other clubs, move out of the team before the end of the transfer window across Europe.

Klopp also talked on Sadio Mane’s comment about the competition among striker’s for a place in the starting XI

According to the manager, the Senegalese player is never a striker but an offensive midfielder, who has a good eye for goal.

” I’m not sure I want to say Sadio is a striker, he’s a very offensive midfield player,” Klopp said

A football psychologist Damian Hughes, a renowned Professor of Organisational Psychology and Change has stated that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp must win a trophy this season.

Klopp who joined the Reds three seasons ago has yet to deliver any trophy, finishing second in the Premier League behind Manchester City last season and reaching the Champions League finals where he was defeated by Real Madrid.

The German manager has got a new and different approach to football which he had introduced on his arrival. It has been described as one of the finest in the league.

However, the Psychologist stated that the Reds boss must deliver a trophy this season to prove his approach is good enough.

Hughes in an interview added that a win this season will also help give the players an increasing sense of reassurance that his method is best and can work.

This fact has been admitted by Klopp who had recently noted that winning a trophy is sacrosanct for him stressing that no trophy will be given for the second position.

Liverpool have not won any trophy since 2012 despite reaching three finals within the period and a in this season will mean a lot to the fans and will help establish Klopp as one of the best managers the Reds have ever had.

Arsene Wenger

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has had his say on the contract standoff involving Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey and the club.

Wenger spoke about Ramsey and his contractual situation with the Gunners in an interview monitored on popular English news portal Metro adding that the 27-year-old is in a strong position with less than a year left on his Arsenal deal.

The Frenchman further revealed that he tried to sign him to a new contract while he was the Arsenal manager.

Arsene Wenger resigned from his post as Arsenal manager at the end of last season thereby drawing the curtains on his 22-year reign in North London.

During his time at Arsenal, the former AS Monaco and Grampus Eight boss won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup titles in addition to leading the Gunners to the 2006 Champions League final in Paris.

His 10-man Arsenal side lost 2-1 to Barcelona who came from behind through goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Belletti.

Aaron Ramsey is on his way out of the club after Arsenal decided to withdraw their contract offer to the former Cardiff City player.

He has been linked with a move to other Premier League giants like Manchester United and Chelsea.

Arsenal and their London rivals could be forced to do some business in the January Transfer window after Ruben Loftus-Cheek has made it clear that he wants to leave the Stamford Bridge.

The player has lacked playing time under manager Maurizio Sarri which he is unable to bear. He might at least, request for a loan move.

Loftus-Cheek’s decision to leave also bothers on the fact that he wants to have a return to the international stage after his successful loan spell at Crystal Palace in the last campaign gave him that opportunity.

Although, it has been reported that Palace will be interested in having the 22-year-old for another loan term but Arsenal are regarded as a strong contender for him.

A call from the North London club will be difficult to reject for Loftus-Cheek knowing the opportunity he will have to play at a bigger stage for the Emirates Stadium sides.

Arsenal are also expected to beat off interest from Everton who are also monitoring the situation to have the player.

However, with Aaron Ramsey seeming to leave the Gunners, there are expectations that Arsenal will push for a move for the player to help serve as a temporal cover for the Wales international.

Potr Zielinski

Liverpool have been handed a big boost in the pursuit of Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski after he failed to agree on a new contract with the Italian outfit.

It was reported that the negotiation between the player’s representative and the club hit the rock giving room for Liverpool to have the player.

Zielinski ought to have been a Reds player but the chance was blocked by his former club Udinese who refused to sell the player but instead, pushed the Polish star to Napoli where he currently plays.

Liverpool’s long term wish to sign the midfielder has been boosted as it is looking certain he will leave the Carlo Ancelotti team later in the summer.

Reports from Calciomercato says the player harbours fears that he could be hindered a move in the future with the release clause that could be placed on him if he further commits his future to the club as his current contract expires in 2021.

The playmaker is satisfied with the wage that has been offered to him but he wants to ensure that the already existing £57 million release clause on him is not increased as it might hinder his move should he decide to leave the club.
