Done Deal: Joel Campbell Finally Completes Move Out Of Emirates
Arsenal and Costa Rica international Joel Campbell has finally completed his much-speculated move to Serie A club Frosinone, according to Arsenal’s official page
After failing to break into the Gunners starting XI, the player was loaned to numerous clubs for four consecutive seasons before he finally partway with the team yesterday.
He featured for Lorient, Olympiacos, Villarreal, Sporting Lisbon and Real Betis on loan from the Gunners.
According to the Gunners via their official website, Campbell has joined the Serie A newcomers after signing a four-year contract with the team.
During his time at the North London club, the 26-year-old attacker could only manage just four goals and six assists — a stat that was far below his potentials and qualities.
Though his club career has been nothing but unimpressive, the player has a far successful stats for his country.
Having played 79, Campbell has scored 15 goals for the Costa Rican national team matches in all competitions.
He was influential in the country’s impressive campaign during 2010 FIFA World Cup, that was hosted by Brazil, as he helped the team to a quarter-final finish.
At 26, the player is still in his prime and would be hoping he rediscover his form with Frosinone, who are set to do all they could to maintain their Serie A status by the end of the season.
