Manchester United want-away defenders Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian has been told by Mourinho to decide their futures in the coming weeks
According to reports from ESPN, the Portuguese manager is willing to retain both players beyond this season but has given them the chance to decide whether they want to remain at Old Trafford or not.
In the report, the Red Devils boss is hoping to have both players on the ground for the whole of this season but he will respect any decision made by them.
Darmian has been linked with a return to Italy as reports claimed that Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli are all keen on his signature.
Having fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, the player could be heading out of the Theater of Dreams before the end of this month.
As for Rojo, the Argentine is reportedly not in Mourinho’s plan for the season and he is said to be on his way to another club where game-time is guaranteed.
The 28-year-old is being tracked by Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who are hoping to make their presence in the Champions League count this season.
Many Reports claimed that the Turkish side have tabled a loan deal for his service but it remains unknown if the Red Devils are ready to loan him out instead of an outright sale.
United will battle Brighton & Hove Albion in the second match of the season on Saturday.
