Manchester United star Matteo Darmian is reportedly on standby to move out of Old Trafford this summer as he is heavily linked with a switch to Serie A.
The 28-year-old wasn’t in Mourinho’s plan during the 2017-18 season and that is not going to change this season as the Portuguese manager bought new and younger defender, Diogo Dalot, from Porto this summer.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Italian is set to move back to his homeland— before the end of this summer transfer window— after spending three years at the Theater of Dreams.
MEN further revealed that Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan are all keen on his signature, though, none of them have made any official approach to the Red Devils for his signature.
Darmian, 28, started against Leicester City in the season opener due to the injury to Antonio Valencia and youngster Diogo Dalot. Despite his impressive performance during the game, he could be pushed back to the substitute bench when Valencia returns from his injury.
Inter Milan are back to European scene for the first time in many years and they are hoping to make a statement in the Champions League competition, so they are reinforcing every department and they believe Darmian will be a good addition to their team this season.
