Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko’s move to AC Milan has been confirmed by the Blues via their official page.

There have been reports since last week that the Frenchman would be loaned out to the Serie A giants but nothing materializes.

However, both clubs have reportedly reached an agreement and the Blues have sanctioned his move to the San Siro Stadium for the rest of this season.

Bakayoko, 23, joined the Blues from Monaco for a fee worth £40m last summer but failed to make a huge impact on the team throughout last season.

Despite being in Conte’s starting lineup for most of last season, the Frenchman could convince the Italian manager that he deserves a place as a starter.

As result of his uninspiring displays, Conte dropped him to the substitute bench in the latter stages of the season.

After completing his move, Bakayoko took to his Instagram account to wish his Chelsea teammates a successful season ahead. He charged them to win the League Trophy for the second time in three seasons.

He also thanked Milan for trusting his ability by giving him a chance to feature for their team.

Bakayoko must be at his best so as to play more regularly for the Rossoneri in the 2018-19 season.

In other Chelsea transfer news, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed his intentions to remain at Stamford Bridge despite interest from top European clubs.

The player had a cameo appearance last Saturday when the Blues thrashed Huddersfield and he is willing to stay and fight for his place in the team.
