Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was seen on the camera shouting on his fellow defender against West Ham in yesterday’s game and he has been praised for his no-nonsense attitude during the encounter.
The Dutchman was surely the most expensive defender in Klopp’s starting lineup for the game, and that has somewhat given him the leadership role at the back of the pitch.
The Reds took the lead via Mohammed Salah’s awesome goal but their lead wasn’t secure as the Hammers began to push for an equalizing goal.
One of the Hammers dangerous crosses was coming from the wing into the Reds 18-yard box but the Dutchman couldn’t control his cool as he shouted at Andy Robertson to “Stop the f*cking cross!”
His heroic display coupled with the leadership trait he exhibited during the encounter was met with huge praise from the Reds faithful, who took to Twitter to express what they felt about the player.
Oddmund F. J. Vaagshol (@Vaagsholm) believe it’s high time to give the Dutchman the club’s captain band.
Narrative Ultra (@Narrativeultra) couldn’t help but thank the former Southampton centre-back for the way he coordinated the defense line.
