This Is Where United Will Finish In The Premier League This Season — 1

Mourinho

Manchester United manager José Mourinho is targeting his first Premier League glory since he took over from Ryan Giggs in 2016 and he is set to compete with top Premier League clubs for the crown.

The former Chelsea manager came closest to winning the trophy last season but could only end up in the second position behind Manchester City.

Though the Portuguese manager couldn’t get the list of players he wanted during the transfer window, he could still lead his current crop of players to the glory by the end of the season.

Many factors seem to be working well for the manager and of them would surely help him lift the trophy. Some of these factors are:

Paul Pogba’s Happiness And Readiness To Play For The Tea

Paul Pogba is no doubt one of the best midfielders in the league and he demonstrated it in the season opener against Leicester.

With Frenchman and summer signing Fred at the middle of the pitch, United could be wining the league for the first time since Fergie’s retirement.

New Summer Signing Fred Could Have Huge Impact in the Team on The Long Run

Mourinho signed only three players this summer but he could enjoy great benefits from their performances in the course of the season.

Fred has proven himself in all of the matches he’s played for the Red Devils so far.

The Brazilian midfielder has so many potentials which would definitely be unleashed as soon as he gets used to the League’s nature and playing style

Harry Winks

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks is in line to start for the Three Lions of England when they travel to the Estadio Benito Villamarin to face Spain in a UEFA Nations League clash scheduled to take place on Monday.

Winks recently impressed for Tottenham Hotspur in a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Spanish champions Barcelona in their Champions League meeting at the start of this month.

He’s expected to replace Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson who’s suspended for the Spain game alongside Manchester City centre back John Stones.

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has started the season very well and he impressed a great deal against the same opposition last month.

The former Charlton Athletic star will take the place of the suspended John Stones.

England manager Gareth Southgate would be hoping his side can salvage the bad start to their UEFA Nations League campaign when they face Spain in Seville.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament semifinalists lost their opening game at the Wembley Stadium to Spain in September before playing a goalless draw against their hosts Croatia on Friday.

In September’s game, England took the lead through Marcus Rashford before Saul Niguez and Rodrigo scored to secure a 2-1 victory for Spain.

Alex Iwobi

Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi continued his impressive form earlier on Saturday as he helped the Super Eagles of Nigeria thrash Libya 4-0 in an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.

Iwobi, 22, has started the new season in impressive fashion under new Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

The Arsenal Academy graduate has been one of the beneficiaries of the new dispensation under the former Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Valencia and Sevilla boss.

Alex Iwobi struggled with inconsistency under former manager Arsene Wenger but the advent of Unai Emery has seen his form flourish.

Unai Emery had replaced Wenger in the summer after the Frenchman resigned from his post as Arsenal manager thus ending his 22-year reign at the club.

The Spaniard signed a three-year contract until 2021.

Alex Iwobi played the entire duration of the game which saw Chinese-based striker net a hattrick.

The former Watford striker netted the opening goal from the spot as early as the fourth minute after he was fouled in the Libyan box.

He added a second goal on 58 minutes off a sumptuous pass from Iwobi before completing his treble in the 69th minute.

Samuel Kalu scored a fourth goal on the stroke of full-time to make the scoreline a more comprehensive one.

Fabinho says this Liverpool player should be named the world best

Fabinho

There is no doubt that Liverpool has got lots of talents in the team with Mohamed Salah leading as the club’s finest player.

However, he has been short of form this season and that has raised concerns amongst the Reds fans.

This is not to say Liverpool will be left out of the clubs with world stars after the claim made by Fabinho stating that his teammate Saido Mane should be regarded as one of the best players in the world.

Mane has made a good impression this season with about four goals to his name this season despite not being the player he was as at last season and has not scored a single one in the last seven games.

Howbeit, Fabinho says the Senegal international is one of the best the Premier League has got.

Describing him as an excellent player, Fabinho stated that he has been watching the 26-year-old on the television and has been a fan of his play before coming to the Anfield.

He described Mana as a very fast and intelligent player who has got age and other factors as an advantage to get him going in his career.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been sweating on his strikers as they are failing to be the players they have been.

Why Jurgen Klopp must win a trophy this season, Psychologist

A football psychologist Damian Hughes, a renowned Professor of Organisational Psychology and Change has stated that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp must win a trophy this season.

Klopp who joined the Reds three seasons ago has yet to deliver any trophy, finishing second in the Premier League behind Manchester City last season and reaching the Champions League finals where he was defeated by Real Madrid.

The German manager has got a new and different approach to football which he had introduced on his arrival. It has been described as one of the finest in the league.

However, the Psychologist stated that the Reds boss must deliver a trophy this season to prove his approach is good enough.

Hughes in an interview added that a win this season will also help give the players an increasing sense of reassurance that his method is best and can work.

This fact has been admitted by Klopp who had recently noted that winning a trophy is sacrosanct for him stressing that no trophy will be given for the second position.

Liverpool have not won any trophy since 2012 despite reaching three finals within the period and a in this season will mean a lot to the fans and will help establish Klopp as one of the best managers the Reds have ever had.
