Paul Pogba Still On Barcelona’s Radar

Manchester United star player Paul Pogba is still getting Barcelona’s attention despite the close of the transfer period in England.

Andres Iniesta’s departure has created a huge vacuum in Valverde’s team at the middle of the pitch and the manager is hoping to find a perfect player to fill the void before the start of the La Liga season.

The Catalans manager believes United star is the only midfielder who could replace the Spaniard and he has taken a huge step to capture his signature.

‘I Want Chelsea Move’ – Good News For Chelsea As Player Wants Stamford Bridge Move

The Frenchman captained the Red Devils to their first win of the season last week against Leicester City but his future is still not clear due to huge interest from the Catalans in his signature.

Though the world cup winner was said to have a misunderstanding with Mourinho last season, he revealed – via his Instagram account – his readiness to feature under the Portuguese manager in the new season.

However, the latest report suggests that the Blaugranas have reportedly cooled their chase after his service this summer, but they are going to reignite their desire to capture him in the next transfer window.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the La Liga giants are ready to ‘wait’ for his signature in January as they hope his agent Mino Raiola would be able to convince him to make his switch to the Camp Nou Stadium.

His contract with the Red Devils still runs until 2020, but Barcelona might trigger his release clause before that time.

Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has withdrawn from the Wales squad ahead of their UEFA Nations League meeting with Home nation rivals, the Republic of Ireland.

Ramsey, 27, will miss the game at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin due to family reasons.

The former Cardiff City star had earlier featured for the team in Thursday’s international friendly game with former world champions Spain.

He captained the Welsh team on Thursday but could not prevent his side from suffering a 4-1 defeat to Luis Enrique and his players.

His withdrawal from the squad was confirmed by the Football Association of Wales (FAW) via a tweet on Monday morning.

He becomes the second high profile player to pull out of the Republic of Ireland game after Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.

Wales manager Ryan Giggs has promoted Swansea City winger David James from the U21s as a replacement for him.

Aaron Ramsey earlier missed Arsenal’s Europa League away clash at Qarabag to be with his partner who’s pregnant with twins.

Wales manager Ryan Giggs and his players have their work cut out against their rivals.

They would be without their best players, Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, for the game in Dublin.

A win would be enough to take Wales to the top of their group ahead of leaders Denmark.

England vs Spain

England manager Gareth Southgate will make at least two changes to his starting lineup from the Croatia game when his side travels to Spain to take on Luis Enrique’s team in a UEFA Nations League clash on Monday night.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson and Manchester City centre-back John Stones are suspended for the game scheduled to take place at the Estadio Benito Villamarin Stadium in the Seville part of Spain.

Both players picked up their second booking of the competition and will miss the crucial game as a result.

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has played very well for the Reds and was one of the best players for England in the last meeting between both sides at the Wembley Stadium last month.

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford gave the Three Lions the lead off an assist from club teammate Luke Shaw before first half goals from the Spanish duo of Saul Niguez and Rodrigo overturned the result in Spain’s favour as they held on for the 2-1 advantage.

In the absence of Henderson, in-form Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is likely to take his place in the starting XI.

Spain vs England XI: Jordan Pickford; Kyle Walker, Joe Gomez, Harry Maguire, Ben Chilwell; Eric Dier, Ross Barkley, James Maddison; Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford, Harry Kane.

Why I am not the best, Eden Hazard

Chelsea star player Eden Hazard has admitted he is not the best player in the world despite praise and claims made by his manager.

Giving reasons for his statement, the Belgium international stated that to be the best player in the world, you have to score the most goals and that might not be the case yet in his case.

Hazard might be Chelsea’s current highest goal scorer this season with 7 Premier League goals scored in 8 games but he has never won the league’s golden boot which limits him from falling in the ranks of the bests.

He, therefore, adds that manager Maurizio Sarri was right to have demanded more improvements in his game especially in the area of goalscoring.

Meanwhile, Hazard revealed that everything about football for the Chelsea’s Italian manager is all about possession, adding that the manager’s style differs from former club coaches, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

The Belgium star revealed that Sarri becomes angry if you don’t have the ball in five minutes as he wants the ball to move across all angles on the pitch.

Sarri joined the Blues in the summer from Italian outfit Napoli and has since changed the face of football at the Stamford Bridge with his introduction of possession football.
