Manchester United Probable Lineup Against Leicester City

Subair Adams

Manchester United will kickstart the 2018-19 season when they face Leicester City this evening.

The Red Devils failed to add to their squad yesterday, though, they have earlier signed three players — Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.

José Mourinho will be hoping to win the Premier League for the first time since he took over from Rio Ferdinand as the club’s manager in 2016-17 season.

For him to achieve this longtime dream, the Portuguese manager must start on winning note by defeating the Foxes, who were busy throughout the transfer market.

Unlike their United, the Foxes added five new players to the squad and the new players would be hoping to get some minutes of action against the Red Devils.

Here is how United might lineup later today :

Having returned earlier than expected from the world cup, David De Gea is set to start between the sticks.

DARMIAN is set to start due to Antonio Valencia’s absence, he would pair up with BAILLY at the heart of the defense. LUKE SHAW and VICTOR LINDELOF, who was awesome for Sweden at the Mundial, complete United’s defensive setup.

Young midfielder SCOTT MCTOMINAY could be given the chance to feature from the start in place of Nemanja Matic, who is injured while new signing FRED would be given his competitive debut by the Portuguese manager.

A.PEREIRA, who was loaned out to La Liga last season will start alongside JUAN MATA to complete a four-man midfield.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ will start against the former Premier League Champions later tonight and he would be paired with MARCUS RASHFORD, who cut short his vacation to join the team ahead of the season opener.

In summary, below is Mourinho’s probable starting Eleven against Claude Puel’s Leicester City

De Gea; Darmian, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; McTominay, Fred, A.Pereira; Mata, Rashford, Alexis
