Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is being tracked by Barcelona for some period now and the Catalans might just be on the verge of completing a move for his signature.
After two years of his return to the Theater of Dreams from Juventus, he might be on his way to Camp Nou this summer, if reports emanating from Spain via Mundo Deportivo is anything to go by.
The Barcelona-based media outlet reported last night that the Frenchman has agreed to personal terms with the Blaugranas, though, United are yet to give a positive response to the La Liga Champions.
The report suggested that Pogba has agreed to a five-year contract deal which will seem him earn £25m-a-year.
However, Manchester United manager, who had a rift with the player during the previous season, has turned down Barca’s player-plus-cash(£45m) offer, claiming he didn’t want to lose the world cup winning midfielder ahead of the coming season.
In the same report, Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has shown how desperate he needs the Frenchman by offering his defender Yerry Mina and a midfielder Andres Gomes as makeshifts for Pogba’s signature.
Having seen Andres Iniesta left the club in May, Valverde is in a desperate mission to get the 25-year-old midfielder as the Spaniard’s replacement before the start of the coming season.
