Manchester United have reportedly denied Paul Pogba the chance of joining Barcelona this summer as they have turned down a mouthwatering offer from the Catalans for his service.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has been in talks with the Spanish giants— since last season— over the possibility of helping his client with a move to Camp Nou this summer but United are preventing that from happening this window.
According to Mundo Deportivo via Manchester Evening News, desperate Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde offered €50m plus Yerry Mina and Andres Gomes in an exchange for Pogba’s signature but the offer was ignored by Jose Mourinho, who is not ready to lose any of his important players ahead of the season opener against Leicester City on Friday.
Despite Mourinho’s decision to turn down their proposed deal, Barcelona are not done yet as the same source claims that Valverde might make another improved offer to the Old Trafford outfits before the end of today.
According to the Spanish media outlet, Valverde might include Croatian star Ivan Rakitic and France international Ousmane Dembele in his next offer as makeshifts for the 25-year-old playmaker so as to convince the Red Devils to sanction his move to Camp before Thursday.
Pogba was awesome for France in Russia, helping them to their first world cup trophy in 20 years. He is currently on vacation but he will return back to Old Trafford later this week.
