Chelsea and other suitors of Kalidou Koulibaly will have to explore other options as President of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis has disclosed that the Senegal international has signed fresh terms in a contract extension with the Italian club.
This development comes as a blow to English Premier League clubs Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool that have been rumoured to be interested in the services of the 27-year old.
De Laurentis also noted that several bids were rejected from “top clubs” including a £80m offer on the table for the highly-rated centre-back.
Since the departure of former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea, he has been accused of raiding his former club in search for fits for his new London side. So far, Sarri has been able to lure Jorginho to Stamford Bridge, hijacking a “done deal” from Guardiola in what has drawn sticks from Manchester City fans.
The Blues are also rumoured to want Jose Callejon, but De Laurentis is determined not to do further business with the Blues after losing their head coach and star player in the space of one month.
The former Racing Genk player has scored 12 goals in 228 league appearances for Napoli.
