No more Manchester move for Yerry Mina
Manchester United have reneged on their interest to sign Barcelona defender, Yerry Mina.
In a twist of plot, the move which was seemingly finalised has been altogether cancelled with Jose Mourinho suddenly returning attention to signing Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld instead.
The Colombia international who had been banking on his exploits at Russia 2018 to find a new club has suddenly found himself without suitors as Everton has also pulled out of the race to sign him.
Mina signed for Barcelona from Palmeiras in January and could only manage five appearances in the league having failed to make an impression on Ernesto Valverde.
With the arrival of Clement Lenglet, it appears he might find himself lower down the pecking order at the Camp Nou and has since been allowed to speak to interested clubs.
With Everton also out of the way and only few days left for the transfer window in England to get shut, Mina might not get a Premier League move at this time. However, with the window still open till August 31 in other countries, he could as well still find his way to another club side before the new season hits its strides.
