‘I Want A Move To Chelsea’ – Massive Boost For Chelsea As Rival Club Pull Out Of Player’s Chase

Wilfried Zaha

Chelsea are said to be in pole position to sign Crystal Palace star winger Wilfred Zaha this summer, despite interest from top Premier League rivals including Manchester, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues were earlier boosted in their chase for the Ivorian’s signature when reports claimed that he wants to move to Stamford Bridge ahead of other suitors

According to Sky Sport last Thursday, Zaha has rejected a new offer from the Eagles while he equally turned down the chance to move to Old Trafford considering the way he was treated by Alex Ferguson during his first spell with the Red Devils.

However, the Blues have been boosted once again as the Sunday Mirror are suggesting that their arch-rival Tottenham have pulled out of the race for his signature.

The British media report earlier today stated that the North London club have cooled their interest in the former England international, who made his international debut for the Elephant of Ivory coast.

Mauricio Pochettino seems to have turned back from his decision to pursue Zaha’s services this summer due to Palace determination to hold on to the player beyond this summer.

Despite this report, Chelsea fans might need to wait a bit before they see the player in their squad, this is because the Selhurst Park outfits are not willing to let him go ahead of next season.

Arsenal and their London rivals could be forced to do some business in the January Transfer window after Ruben Loftus-Cheek has made it clear that he wants to leave the Stamford Bridge.

The player has lacked playing time under manager Maurizio Sarri which he is unable to bear. He might at least, request for a loan move.

Loftus-Cheek’s decision to leave also bothers on the fact that he wants to have a return to the international stage after his successful loan spell at Crystal Palace in the last campaign gave him that opportunity.

Although, it has been reported that Palace will be interested in having the 22-year-old for another loan term but Arsenal are regarded as a strong contender for him.

A call from the North London club will be difficult to reject for Loftus-Cheek knowing the opportunity he will have to play at a bigger stage for the Emirates Stadium sides.

Arsenal are also expected to beat off interest from Everton who are also monitoring the situation to have the player.

However, with Aaron Ramsey seeming to leave the Gunners, there are expectations that Arsenal will push for a move for the player to help serve as a temporal cover for the Wales international.
