Reports from England are suggesting that two heavyweights of English football are weighing up a swap deal for two of their highly rated players with under a week left for incoming in the transfer window in England.
With 24-year-old Anthony Martial of Manchester United valued at £75million and Chelsea’s Willian estimated to be worth the same amount, it is believed that Jose Mourinho has tabled a swap offer to Chelsea for the two forward men.
For the Red Devils, the transfer window has been for the course with their Portuguese gaffer having been able to sign only three players ahead of the new campaign and seemingly discontent. Jose Mourinho is hoping he could pip Barcelona to the signing of the pacey winger with the lure of remaining in England as an edge.
Chelsea, on the other hand, may welcome the arrival of Martial after club record signing Morata has failed to convince. The Spain international has followed up his irregularities of the last season with unimpressive showings in the pre-season matches.
Martial has been frustrated by his lack of game time since Mourinho’s arrival and he is considering his options away from Old Trafford. Similarly, Willian faces an uncertain future has been unable to consistently nail down a starting spot with the Blues.
