Arsenal manager Unai Emery is set to end his active involvement in the transfer market this summer by capturing France international midfielder Steven Nzonzi before the end of the transfer window.
For the first time in 21 years, the Gunners changed their manager when Unai Emery took over from Arsene Wenger in May and, as expected, things seem to be changing at the club in term of the club’s participation in the transfer market.
The new Arsenal manager has spent £70m on five players and he is reportedly set to add another central midfielder to his team before the window comes to an end on the 9th of this month.
According to reports from Spain, French midfielder Steven N’zonzi, who plays for Sevilla, is being tracked by Emery.
Reports from the Daily Mail suggests that the Sevilla star is being tracked by Unai Emery for a very long time and the manager is now hoping to complete a £25m move for the Sevilla star.
N’zonzi is still on vacation in his homeland after his involvement with the Les Blues in their run to the Russia 2018 world cup glory.
Unai Emery is hoping to make the Frenchman his last signing before the start of next season but the manager faces a huge competition from Barcelona, who are also keeping close tabs on his signature.
N’zonzi worked with the Emery during the manager’s time with the Spanish side, where he won three Europa League trophies.
He will be hoping to finally convince the 29-year-old to join him at the Emirates Stadium this week.
