Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in Leicester City’s defender Harry Maguire as the Foxes are asking too much for his signature.
The Red Devils have been in the race for the player’s signature since the start of the 2018 world cup hosted by Russia but they have failed to convince the former Premier League Champions to release the player.
According to reports, Mourinho are willing to pay only £65m to Leicester for the England international but the King Power outfits are demanding for a huge amount which is believed to within the range of £80m.
According to the latest reports via Daily Mirror this morning, United aren’t ready to meet the club’s price tag on the 25-year-old defender and they pulled out of the deal.
However, the media outlet further revealed that the Red Devils are now chasing after Barcelona defender Yerry Mina as an alternative to Harry Maguire.
Mourinho has turned his attention to the Colombian centre-back following his awesome showing for the South America country.
In the report, the Portuguese manager has told his employers to make a £30m bid for Mina, who is seen as the best player to replace Wolverhampton’s target Chris Smalling in the coming season.
Having spent just a season at Camp Nou, Mina is set to leave the La Liga Champions due to lack of regular actions.
