Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has decided to part way with two of his senior players this summer, according to reports via the Telegraph.
The German tactician is set to release Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius to any Suitor who are ready to meet his price tag on each goaltender.
Simon Mignolet has been a source for transfer rumours for some time as Barcelona and Besiktas are reportedly vying for his signature.
The reports via Don Balon yesterday claimed that the Blaugrana have shockingly picked up interest in the Belgian shot-stopper and they are ready to slug-it-out with Besiktas, who have already made an official approach towards his signature.
The 30-year-old goalie lost his place in Klopp’s starting lineup to Karius Loris — in the second half of last season — after lots of unforgivable and costly errors.
Loris, on the other hand, hasn’t been strongly linked with a suitor so far, however, there are rumours that he could be heading to Bayer Leverkusen.
The Bundesliga side sold their first-choice goalie Bernd Leno to Arsenal last month, they are now looking at the prospect of bringing Karius as his replacement.
Should Klopp eventually sell the two experienced goalkeepers, he would be left with two young and inexperienced netminders — Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher — as backups except he gets another goalie before the close of the ongoing transfer market which I don’t see it happening after spending huge money on Alisson’s signature from Roma.
