Young Nigeria star Tosin Kehinde, who recently ended his contract with the Red Devils have joined Portuguese side CD Feirense on a four-year deal ahead of the upcoming season, according to Manchester Evening New.
The youngster has been under United’s radar since the age of 13 but failed to get any minute of action with the first-team despite training with the team on different occasions.
His contract with the Red Devils expired a month ago and all United’s efforts to renew his contract were unsuccessful as the player wants a move out of Old Trafford.
Kehinde, 20, was Marcus Rashford and Tuanzebe’s team-mate during their time at youth level but the two players have made their first-team debut while he wasn’t given the chance to make a single appearance for the team by Jose Mourinho.
After passing his trials with CD Feirense, the club completed a move for the player on a free transfer as they are willing to improve their attacking threat in the coming Primeira season.
With his compatriot Dele Alampasu in the club, Kehinde won’t find it difficult settling down into the team. He would be hoping to improve his converting ability so as to get regular action with the team, who ended last season in the 16th position.
Though brought up in England, the youngster has declared his intention to represent Nigeria at international level but he will need to up his game if he must achieve his dream of playing for the African powerhouse.
